Yesterday I had a hair appointment at…

Yesterday I had a hair appointment at the Ulta Salon. I have to say how blown away I was at the amazing customer service done by Maya at the Trinity, FL location. She had so much knowledge about products and was a professional when it came to my curls. I also had a full head of highlights done and had a special curl cut. It came out totally amazing and I will absolutely be seeing her in the future for all my salon needs! Was a really positive experience and Maya is super friendly! Thank you!

Push for personal information

I know companies are looking to get your email/phone number for rewards. These are really just to send you marketing. If you choose to Not provide this that is your right. On 3 occasions, different locations, I decline and instantly the cashiers attitude changes, and not for the better. Needless to say will NEVER return. My choice to not provide my personal info, while paying money for purchase should not result in a negative interaction.

Terrible Customer Service

Honestly this is solely about the online support at Ulta. It’s so terrible. I explained multiple times that my account got hacked and for them to please cancel my order immediately (since it was not placed by me). I had to talk to 5 different people about this stupid issue and repeat myself 100 times. Not to mention I had to keep contacting different people. Very unprofessional. I get the reason why everyone likes Sephora better

I had a terrible return experience

I had a terrible return experience with Ulta Beauty at King of Prussia, PA. I would give them zero star if that's an option. I made a return only 30 days which is way before their 60 days return policy and they only gave me store credit and not being able to explain why they could not credit me back via my visa card. I contacted my visa card service and confirmed there is no issue with my card. After communicating back and forth with customer service and the store, nobody could explain to me what the issue was and until this day (8 days after the return date), they still haven't resolved it. The reason I want credit back to my card and will not accept their store credit because they price is way too high, each item is at least $5 to $15 comparing to other sellers. I would not recommend anyone to shop at Ulta. YOu can get the same products for much lesser price at other stores.

The worst customer service .please don't ever order from this store the just take you money and don't work with you to correct the issues l will from a different store .

It was a dark and stormy day…

It was raining out and my friend and I walked into the Ulta store and the water on the floor was beginning to puddle. My friend told the associate at the front desk “Banks” that they should have mats in The entry to prevent someone from slipping. As soon as Banks was finished with her customer, she went and got 2 mats and laid one in the entry and one just inside the store. Usually, a store associate would just blow you off but she took immediate action. That probably saved your company money in preventing a customer injury! Along with that, she was very helpful and pleasant. We should expect this kind of great customer service however, we rarely get it! She is a gem!

I took back an unopened package

I took back an unopened, still sealed on outside product as my Dermatologist said this certain product doesn't work, and to try another.
I took it back, no issues, but few mins later, clerk had it all opened, including cosmetic bag products came in, and scraping product out of the 3 containers, all in trash!!!!

I questioned it, and no matter what you return, even sealed, it goes into landfills, even cosmetics bags!! They're harming the environment and killing wildlife. I will have this in back of my brain from here on out. Ashamed of Ulta for not helping women with unopened returned items, and definitely for not recycling. Corporate places like this, undo all what the individuals do to help the environment.

If anything, should donate unopened things to homeless shelters or some organization to help women. I'll think twice before I buy anything at Ulta.
The lady said it's "CORPORATE ORDERS, to throw it all into landfills." She hates it too. Brand New items, 4 in all, won't decompose, hard plastic, sickening they do this.

So sad, the big wheels at Corporate only think of themselves, and not the future of others, and right thing they should do, to help in all directions.

I am sick of Ulta sending emails with…

I am sick of Ulta sending emails with coupon deals because they never honor the coupon. The past 3 visits when I tried to use the email coupon they ALWAYS have a stipulation as to why they can’t honor it!! It’s just a way to get you in and then screw you. No more Ulta for me.

I’m iffy about Ulta

I’m iffy about Ulta. I like their app and rewards program. I have issues with their salon. The stylist is great. I’ve been going to her for about 8 months. No more. Every time I go there’s a new charge for something and their prices keep going up. I get the same thing all over color and cut. Never the same amount.

Terrible customer service

I walked into the store, two employees standing in front of me, no greeting.
Walked to the back of the store clearly looking for something, three employees walked past, never asked if I needed help. Went back to the front of the store to ask for help, told someone would meet me and assist. Five minutes later, no help. Woman at the services counter did everything but spin her head around backwards to not make eye contact or ask if I needed help. I will never return to this store and plan on putting a bad review on every site I can find. Worst customer service ever! This is the Ulta at Turkey Creek Knoxville Tennessee.
I then walked over to Bed Bath and Beyond and was greeted immediately and given great customer service.

Is this the only place to buy Ulta products or are there online stores that are cheaper?

If you're asking about Ulta's brand, you can only buy it at Ulta. Other items can be purchased through other retailers. However, you have to really dig to find anything cheaper than Ulta. Especially during a sale and with a coupon.

Are the products from Ulta really worth the money?

It depends on what you're buying! Are you speaking about Ulta brands or just the store in general? It isn't so much about whether or not they're worth more. They sell many of the same brands as Walmart or CVS. But they also sell more high end brands as well as hair products and services. So it's like a one stop shopping experience. You could get your hair cut, brows done, and purchase some new beauty products all in one store. There's also the advantage of knowledgeable staff members who can help you find the right shade of foundation for example.

It's not that the prices are particularly higher than anywhere else, it's that the products they sell are very high end and nowhere except like Marshall's etc has any of those brands for less. So I'd say yes they're all worth the money. Some brands are better than others depending on personal preference but they also have a rewards program that's free :)
